Tonight marks the return of one of my favorite shows. I've been waiting since mid-May for my 30 Rock fix, and season four debut did not disappoint.
30 Rock is coming off of it's third straight Emmy award for outstanding comedy series.
Tonight's episode centered around Liz (Tina Fey) and Pete's (Scott Adsit) search for a new cast member. While Kennith (Jack McBrayer) and Jack (Alec Baldwin) match wits over bonuses and overtime.
The season opener brought back the smart writing Tina Fey honed during her tenure as head writer on SNL. Fey's prose is offset by Tracey Morgan's hyper celebrity antics. Another solid episode from one of the best shows on TV.
It's good to have my TV night line-up middle leg back. Flash Forward, The Office, 30 Rock, and Always Sunny in Philadelphia have been monopolizing my Thursday night for far too long, but in a very good way.
